A workshop on ecotoxicology-based risk assessment approaches consistent with the PNG Environment Act 2000, to be held at Madang Resort, Madang PNG on 14-15 Jun 2010.
A workshop to provide professional environmental managers and assessors with basic tools and approaches for quantifying ecological risks from contaminants and developing precautionary principle monitoring and management strategies compatible with the regulatory environment in Papua New Guinea.
The workshop will include sessions on identifying, quantifying, and reporting risk using techniques such as ecotoxicology, site-specific species sensitivity distributions, impact matrices, and multiple lines of evidence approaches to optimise monitoring, reporting, and mitigation actions for environmental management.
Attending this workshop will assist your organisation engage in a valid and practical application of risk-based environmental monitoring and management under the PNG Environment Act 2000.
